Palletline is a leading palletized freight distribution company and the only network owned wholly by its members. Its carefully selected members, who are predominantly family-owned transport companies, work collaboratively to provide the best possible services to customers across the UK and Europe.

Following a change of personnel within the IT team, Palletline’s leaders felt they needed a new approach. After a number of discussions, they appointed a Freeman Clarke IT leader to work with the team.

He is developing a new IT strategy that matches the business and its members’ desire to maintain their position as the leading pallet distribution network. For example, the Principal moved the core business applications into cloud-hosted services, delivering better value, performance, and stability. They’re now reviewing the technology across the business to ensure it is meeting expectations and moving to the more appropriate platforms as needed.

His strategy was well-received both by the business and its members, and it’s instrumental to future business plans.
